AC Problems that Cause Your Unit to Shut Off. The unit is overheating, which typically suggests there is grime buildup within the compressor. However, it could also indicate a more complicated issue, such as a refrigerant leak. Additionally, if the thermostat is faulty, it could be due to damaged wiring or an electrical problem.
E1: This code indicates high pressure in the system, which is often caused by dirty coils, restrictions, or overcharging. Inspect the coils and fans for proper operation.
